Behind The Story is a post-episodic web series that goes behind the scenes of some of Paramount’s latest and greatest shows, providing a cast and crew introspection into how an episode is made. This version of the web series takes us into the creation and genius behind Paramount+’s Lawmen: Bass Reeves, a Western mini-series based on the life of Bass Reeves, one of the first African American U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River, Starring David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves.

In the epic finale of Behind The Story, Bass seeks to settle the score between him and Esau once and for all, while the rest of the Reeves family receives a visit from a ghastly remnant of Bass and Jennie’s past. We also get a look at how some of the more complex settings in the world of the show were created, as well as a glimpse at how animals are trained for their on-screen appearances. To wrap things up, we pay homage to the legend that is Deputy U.S. Marshall Bass Reeves.
