Behind The Story is a post-episodic web series that goes behind the scenes of some of Paramount’s latest and greatest shows, providing a cast and crew introspection into how an episode is made. This version of the web series takes us into the creation and genius behind Paramount+’s Lawmen: Bass Reeves, a Western mini-series based on the life of Bass Reeves, one of the first African American U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River, Starring David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves.

As we near the end of the web series, this installment features more insight into Barry Pepper’s character, the former Confederacy Major, Esau Pierce. We also see Billy Crow begin to prove himself as a potential Marshal, and Bass encounters an unwelcome guest in his home.
